June 2011 Meeting - MyBatis : Datamapper for Easy Mapping between Java and SQL

Hibernate and Java's JPA are great tools to automate the mapping of SQL data entities to Java objects.  However, beside the learning curve, they can, sometimes, get in the way if you start crafting complex relation between your entities that only direct access to SQL can satisfy.

Enter MyBatis !  For our June meeting (Tuesday June 28), we are going to take introductory look at MyBatis, formerly iBatis.  It is described as "... a datamapper framework that makes it easy to use a relational database with object-oriented applications." The latest release is a complete rewrite of the former iBatis project with elaborate features worthy of a second look.
